The Distributed Energy industry (i.e. solar and energy storage) is one of fastest growing sectors in the country. But with a shortage of qualified workers, particularly those with expertise in the areas of networking and cybersecurity, continued rapid growth is threatened.
The SunSpec Alliance, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, has mobilized to fill this gap in the market. SunSpec Cyberguardians is a three-year long program, designed to prepare military veteran job seekers and industry professionals for the next wave in Distributed Energy Resource (DER) technology.
About the Event:
This webinar is intended to teach veterans about the career opportunities available though SunSpec Cyberguardians. From fully accredited online courses offered through the University of California San Diego Extension, to a thriving online Career Portal hosted by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), SunSpec Cyberguardians offers military veteran job seekers and industry professionals a path to get trained, and get a job. With two partnering universities, the program offers education options for students on the west coast and east coast.
