Software Engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer – San Jose, CA
SunSpec Alliance is seeking to hire a Software Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours/week)  to work at our San Jose, CA headquarters at competitive salary.
Job duties include: Working on a web service called Non-Stop Interop which will provide an interface for different clients to test their devices against different servers using IEEE 2030.5 protocol for communication using Django framework. Working on developing a 2030.5 driver for the SunSpec System Validation Platform to test and interact with 2030.5 compliant devices. Working on mapping the Results Reporting document to the SunSpec Models for the IEEE 1547.1 Test procedures. Writing test procedures for 2030.5 protocol. Maintaining and updating existing repositories (Pysunspec, DNP3 agent, SunSpec models) and documentation. Skill Set: Knowledge of IEEE 1547 standard (SunSpec Modbus, DNP3, IEEE 2030.5), Python, Django Framework, Amazon EC2, SunSpec SVP. Travel within USA required.
Requirements: Masters in Computer Science or Information Technology
