The SunSpec Alliance hosted an Annual Meeting on October 3rd. In conjunction with the annual meeting, we also celebrated the SunSpec Alliance’s 10-year Anniversary. We are thankful for the contributions of all SunSpec members who have helped SunSpec get to the 10-year mark, and we look forward to many more years.

The annual meeting took place in La Jolla, California with almost 40 attendees. In between meetings and dinner, we enjoyed lovely southern California weather with the sun and Pacific ocean as a backdrop. After an evening meet and greet on Wednesday night, we got down to work on Thursday with a packed schedule covering multiple topics affecting SunSpec members.

Friday was a little more relaxed, but no less filled with valuable information as we took a tour of the UCSD campus and got to see their various energy test labs at work, including EVs, energy storage, fuel cells, and innovative heating/cooling systems. We topped the tour off with a visit to the Smart Inverter Test Lab, which was co-created by the SunSpec Alliance.

The SunSpec team is looking forward to next year’s Annual Meeting. We hope all SunSpec member companies will be able to make it next year. And if your company is not yet a member, please consider joining. We would love to invite you to the event.
