Data-in-Flight Cybersecurity Workgroup Kick-off

This work group is dedicated to cybersecurity for Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), led by industry experts from SunSpec Alliance, Sandia National Laboratories and GridSME. The work group will determine security requirements that either don’t exist or are poorly defined in various DER communication protocols including IEEE 1815, IEC 62351, SunSpec Modbus and IEEE 2030.5 and for data-in-flight paths, examples being between utility and DER gateways. The group will also document existing security requirements.
