Board of Directors – SunSpec Alliance 2012

I am pleased to announce your SunSpec Alliance Board of Directors for 2012.

The BoD is the governing body of the Alliance and, as such, sets the strategic direction and objectives for our work. In addition, the BoD approves the annual budget of SunSpec, approves the technical and marketing programs undertaken, and ultimately approves the specifications and recommendations produced.
2012 will be another exciting and productive year for the Alliance. The Technical Committee will take up the important topic of Inverter Controls and continue the specification of the SunSpec Logger. Coming off the heels of a successful PlugFest Interoperability demonstration, we will work to formalize our Testing and Certification program. Our goal is for all of our members to have certified products in the market this coming year. The Marketing Committee will kick into high gear with the establishment of our Customer Council and the delivery of a new whitepaper and series of case studies on the benefits of adopting the SunSpec standards and recommendations.
Participation in the committees and workgroups is open to all members. The work of the Alliance is not possible without the direct participation and contributions of our members. We urge and welcome your support.
Finally, check out our new logo and branding on the website (https://sunspec.org). We commissioned a very cool banner that was on display at Solar Power International last week. We intend to produce a poster of this and would appreciate any feedback – like how many copies you would like 🙂
