Help us build the SunSpec Energy Storage Workgroup

The SunSpec Alliance is pleased to announce the formation of a new workgroup to develop and promote communication standards for batteries and other energy storage technologies used in grid-connected energy storage systems. The Energy Storage Workgroup will develop models to support a variety of energy storage applications, from large, multi-megawatt-hour systems deployed at utility substations to islanded, microgrid installations to smaller systems connected on the customer side of the meter.

This webinar is open to all engineers, product managers, and company executives involved in energy storage technology. You to not need to be a SunSpec member to participate.

At this free one-hour webinar, you will learn:

  • How the Energy Storage Workgroup will create communication standards for energy storage technologies such as lithium-ion batteries, vanadium redox flow batteries, and flywheels.
  • How he models defined by this group complement the existing SunSpec inverter and meter models. A key goal is to be able to leverage all three model categories in the construction of a complete energy storage system with minimal NRE.
  • How your company can participate in the development of this important industry resource.

Though admission is free, space is limited to 25 participants per webinar. Click here to attend the May 20, 2014, 9:00 AM PDT session.
