Join the SunSpec & Sandia DER Cybersecurity Working Group for an educational webinar featuring the Cybersecurity Advisory Team for State Solar (CATSS).
Background:
In 2020, the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) and the National Association or Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) began the Cybersecurity Advisory Team for State Solar (CATSS) project to identify key opportunities and actions for State Energy Offices and Public Utility Commissions in supporting and enabling cyber-secure PV solar deployment. CATSS includes an advisory group which consists of NARUC and NASEO members, industry representatives, and subject matter experts.
The objectives of the group are to identify priorities, address challenges, and provide mitigative solutions needed to address cybersecurity issues associated with solar deployment and develop solution strategies and pathways for state decision-makers to enhance the security of solar systems, including model state programs and actions to mitigate PV-related cybersecurity risks.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and comprised of the top Energy Officials from each of the 50 states, understanding the objectives and obstacles identified by this initiative is essential to any SunSpec Member involved in DER manufacturing, deployment operations, grid operations, and/or financing.
