Solarworx is a collection of function block libraries for Phoenix Contact’s industrial controllers that can be freely programmed within the framework of IEC 61131. Solarworx also includes specific libraries for creating applications with SunSpec®-compatible profiles. Since the controller as well as numerous other modules for analog or digital communication can be freely programmed, it is possible to create various devices supported by the SunSpec® profile. Providing functions not only as a server but also as a client, the library enables a nearly unlimited number of different applications.

In addition to the SunSpec®-compatible function block libraries, customers can also order completely implemented systems and devices such as weather stations transmitting their data to the SCADA system via SunSpec®. Moreover, Phoenix Contact offers a solution for converting DC monitoring systems for different manufacturers’ combiner boxes such as SOLARCHECK (Phoenix Contact), Transclinix (Weidmüller), or bloxx (Ganter) to the compliant SunSpec® profile.

The client function can be used to monitor and control leading manufacturers’ inverters with SunSpec® profiles. By additionally using the battery systems’ SunSpec® profiles, customers can create universal systems which can be individualized according to specific requirements.
