SunSpec Alliance at the SF Climate Week Hackathon

April 28, 2025

What happens when open-source innovation meets clean energy collaboration? A lot of bright ideas. SunSpec Alliance had a blast supporting the recent Open Source Hackathon during SF Climate Week! This dynamic event brought together brilliant minds working to solve critical challenges in the distributed energy space, and we were proud to play our part.

From our experts Vish Ganti, Tom Tansy and Kudrat Kaur offering technical support and subject matter expertise, to sharing tools like the SunSpec Dashboard and our new AI-powered resource assistant, our goal was to empower teams to move fast, build smart, and think beyond the status quo.

A huge thanks to Kyle Valiton with Port Labs and Arila Barnes with Energy IoT Open Source for organizing an inspiring and impactful event. Thank you to Liam O’Brien with Sol-Ark for getting us involved, and a sincere thank you to all the participants, mentors, and partners who brought their energy, creativity, and vision to the table. If this is what the next generation of energy innovators looks like, the future is in good hands.
