We will discuss the 2023 SunSpec Work Group Roadmap to recruit expert contributors for the next phase of DER standards development.

The SunSpec Alliance, and the over 170 Contributing Members that comprise it, has achieved amazing success in driving the DER industry’s growth through the development and deployment of communications standards around the globe. Now included as a core requirement in grid codes around the globe, SunSpec Modbus and IEEE 2030.5 form the backbone of future DER networks. In this meeting SunSpec will be launching the next phase of DER communication technical development as we expand on existing work in the Modbus and 2030.5 areas and resolve how we can best support the EV/EVSE and DER Cybersecurity spaces.
Attend this meeting to learn about the current state of the technology, hear about the next phases of technical development in these areas, and learn how and where to attend the next meetings when you will be able to voice your opinions on what should be the focus of the various SunSpec Alliance Work Groups in 2023.
