Unleashing the Power of Customer DERs: Achieving Grid Stability through Connectivity
Session Date: Thursday September 14, 2023
Session Time: 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Theater Location: Industry Trends, Booth #157, Sands Expo, Level 2

Session Description: The potential to connect to customer DERs over the internet is revolutionizing the energy landscape. By enabling the management of grid frequency, power quality, and stability issues, this newly accessible technology is a game changer for utilities and aggregators. But is it safe and reliable? There are three essential components of a robust end-to-end system: DER management software, secure communications protocol, and cost-effective customer DER integration. In this conversation, presenters will share insights from real-world installations and demonstrate how the convergence of customer DERs with internet connectivity can effectively address grid stability challenges in the face of increased renewables.

Speaker(s):
Expo Hall Speaker:  Joe Sullivan – Head of Sales , PXiSE Energy Solutions

Expo Hall Speaker:  Tom Tansy – Chairman, SunSpec Alliance

Expo Hall Speaker:  Prasanth Gopalakrishnan – CEO, ASE / Kalkitech
