Referenced in IEEE 1547-2018, the SunSpec Modbus 701-712 Series DER Information Models have officially been promoted from TEST status to APPROVED status, thus superseding the SunSpec Modbus 100 Series Models that were first introduced in 2009. Also now promoted from TEST to APPROVED status is the Device Information Model Specification used for SunSpec Modbus implementation. All SunSpec Modbus inverter implementations that are intended for certification to U.S. requirements may now reference these specifications.

In support of the approval of the SunSpec Modbus 701-712 Series DER Information Models, we are also pleased to announce that the SunSpec SVP Dashboard Plus Pack containing a SunSpec Modbus for 1547 automated test suite is now available to members of the Alliance for purchase. We encourage product developers, software testers, and independent test labs to download the SVP Dashboard software and inquire about purchasing the SunSpec Modbus for 1547 Plus Pack.
