Data access and transparency are foundational to unlocking innovation in the design and optimization of the modern electricity grid. That is the key takeaway from Unlocking Grid Data, a new paper that was recently released recently by TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives; SunSpec Alliance, an industry alliance dedicated to developing and promoting energy information standards; and DBL Partners, a double bottom line venture capital firm.

We invite you along with fellow legislative and regulatory staff, utility representatives and interested industry stakeholders to join this webinar, which will provide an overview the types of grid data necessary to increase innovation in grid design, planning, and customer engagement. Industry experts will also address commonly raised concerns about grid data access, and provide current examples of approaches to address these issues in regulatory proceedings across the country. *Note that this webinar will focus on grid data access issues and not customer data access.*

Speakers:

  • Tom Tansy, Chairman, SunSpec Alliance
  • Kevin Joyce, Grid Engineering, SolarCity
  • Walker Wright, Vice President, Green Charge Networks
  • Nancy Pfund, Founder and Managing Partner, DBL Partners
  • Moderated by Andrea Deveau, Vice President State Policy, TechNet

Webinar access: This is a free event and there is no need to register. Meeting details below.
