Solectria – A Yaskawa Company, a leading U.S. PV inverter manufacturer, confirms its continued commitment to the SunSpec Alliance and its Specification & Information Models.

As early adopters and proud members of the SunSpec Alliance for Smart Grid communication standards, Solectria first achieved SunSpec Certification in 2012 for its three-phase inverter product series.

The SunSpec Models for controls, logging and data communication standards are significant features of our newest SGI 500XTM and SGI 750XTM products. Sunspec compliance is a critical design aspect of future Solectria PV inverter solutions. In conjunction with California Rule 21, SunSpec Models now form the basis for innovative Distributed Energy solutions that extend beyond monitoring services into: Smart Grid controls, such as power factor, reactive power controls, and many more exciting grid support features.

Because our customers and system integrators expect standardized and secure interoperability between Solectria inverters, monitoring agencies and Smart Grid operators, the work of the SunSpec Alliance has played a crucial role in moving the solar industry and Solectria – A Yaskawa Company to a standardized communication model.
